Reading and author talk with Nadja Bucher, October 17, 2013, 7 pm, Stadtwerkstatt, Kirchengasse 4, 4040 Linz, barrier-free access!
Nadja Bucher's new novel "Die wilde Gärtnerin" is all about running a humus toilet. World views collide: compost versus conspiracy. Helen seeks her salvation in the garden, Berta wants to rid the world economy of evil. In this novel, two modern world views collide, plus a Viennese family history.

The wild gardener is Helen Cerny. She devotes herself to her garden and her humus toilet until the actionist system critic Berta brings Helen's smooth digestion to a halt. Because the global economy must be changed through action. Irritating headlines penetrate the garden idyll: an Austrian arms lobbyist suffers a hunting accident, ...

...pension funds are hacked, mercury lamps are not healthy even for CEOs.
On top of that, Helen's friend Toni organizes an esoteric summer festival based on gift economy and the blond youngster Benno builds a raised bed. Rating agencies are no fun either, but Helen is already struggling with her century-old family history. Compost versus plot!
