The current radio program is dedicated to the question: What will access to Austrian arts and culture funding look like in the future?

The following question was discussed by experts from the arts and culture sector at the Newsbase launch event in mid-March. On the podium at the Lentos Art Museum were:
Sheri Avraham, artist and board member of the IG Visual Arts, Laurien Bachmann, visual artist, Eva Kohout from the Federal Ministry for Arts, Culture, Civil Service and Sport Section IV Music and Performing Arts, Gerda Forstner, Head of Department Linz Culture and Pia Wiesauer, Head of Division Cultural Promotion Upper Austria.

The event was moderated by Gitti Vasicek, Vice Rector at the University of Art and Design Linz, and Oona Valarie Serbest, Managing Director of FIFTITU% and Chair of the Linz City Cultural Advisory Board.

The event took place on March 16, 2023 at the Lentos Art Museum in Linz to celebrate the launch of newsbase.at, the new database for arts and cultural funding in Austria from FIFTITU%.

The database newsbase.at presents a wide range of calls for proposals from public bodies, the private sector and non-profit organizations.

It includes competitions, prizes, grants, artist-in-residence programs, public tenders and studio spaces in various art disciplines. This facilitates access to funding opportunities and resources for artists and cultural producers.
