Beatrice Behn is a cultural journalist, film scholar, film critic and filmmaker. She has more than 10 years of experience as a film critic, including at Kino-Zeit. Behn established herself as a filmmaker in 2018 with her first feature-length documentary "THE ARTIST & THE PERVERT"

The film critic and filmmaker took part in the panel discussion "Frauenfilm: Was soll das sein?" in mid-November. This took place as part of the Frau.Macht.Film Tage in Linz.

We conducted an interview with Behn. She told us about her cinematic work and the measures for women* and queer people in film. For our "Divasplitter" section, the film critic and filmmaker shared words with us on the concept of being a diva.

On November 13, 2019, the panel discussion "Frauenfilm: Was soll das sein?" took place. The discussion kicked off this year's Frau.Macht.Film. cinema program at Moviemento in Linz

Djamila Grandits - curator and part of CineCollective.
As well as Leni Gruber - author, director and student at the Film Academy in Vienna.
Journalist and film critic Julia Pühringer moderated the panel discussion.

The panelists addressed the question of the term "women's film". They talked about which films by and about women have influenced them. How were and are films by women dealt with? And what about film festivals and film funding for women*.

From November 25 to December 10, the "16 Days against Violence against Women" campaign takes place every year. This campaign calls for the right to a life free of violence. Numerous campaigns and eventsorganized by the Linz Women's Office take place to mark the "16 Days against Violence against Women".

On 6 December 2019 at 8 pm, a reading with the author Reyhan Sahin aka Dr. Bitch Ray will take place in the glass lecture halls of the University of Art and Design Linz. She will present her recently published book"Yalla Feminism!". The book presentation will be followed by a discussion with the author Marie Luise Lehner. Finally, there will be music by Bad & Boujee, the first "All Black Female DJ Collective" from Vienna.
In the December show we will broadcast excerpts from the book presentation.
