On 8 March the demonstration organized by the Alliance 8 March - Upper Austrian women* unite! took place in Linz. The organizers estimate that around 1000 people demonstrated for a feminist and equal future on that day. All under the motto FEMALE SOLIDARITY - across all borders!

This year's demonstration in Linz led from the music theater to the main square. Here, numerous speakers gave their speeches on the topic of female solidarity, moderated by President Dominika Meindl.

You can listen to an interview with the sociologist and feminist theorist Johanna Grubner. She researches social and capitalism theory at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz. Grubner is the author of the text "Affidamento as a political practice of freedom - an appreciation".
This was published in 2022 in the publication Female Positions. Before the reading on March 10, we spoke to her at Stadtwerkstatt about the content of the book and much more.
The editors Daniela Banglmayr, Susanne Baumann and Sandra Hochholzer have collected numerous women's political positions and published them in the book. We have already dedicated an entire program to this interesting book in July 2022.
