Feminist positions in the open air

In cooperation with the Kunsthalle Linz, the FIFTITU% association has conceived a contemporary art exhibition for the Urfahranermarkt-Donaulände.
It can be visited at any time while maintaining the prescribed distance from other people

Numerous positions by feminist artists from Linz can still be seen until July 2020:

Helga Schager - Adriana Torres Topaga - Ursula M. Lücke - Maia Benashvili - Betty Wimmer - Silke Müller - Violetta Wakolbinger - 2EMOTIONAL - Rebekka Hochreiterin

The group exhibition invites to explore self-empowerment, power structures, intersectionality and female desire.
This is particularly relevant now, emphasizes FIFTITU% CEO Oona Valarie Serbest: "This time of the pandemic shows how women* support society. The consequences of the crisis are a disaster for feminism and an exacerbation of inequality. Using the means of art, a discourse can be set in motion here - which we must now, more vehemently than ever, conduct".

Contemporary feminist art as a mouthpiece
The artists have dealt with the female body as a primary medium of self-determination in the context of gender-specific evaluation, devaluation, discrimination and abuse of power. The result is a remarkable art exhibition that shows different approaches and forms of processing, from sculpture to conceptual art, photography and illustration.

The exhibition was curated by the artists Rebekka Hochreiter, Romina Dodic (curators Kunsthalle Linz) and Oona Valarie Serbest (management FIFTITU%).

Since 2015, the Kunsthalle Linz has been located near the salon ship Fräulein Florentine on the Urfahranermarkt-Donaulände, giving Linz another important exhibition venue on the Danube alongside the Lentos Kunstmuseum Linz and the Ars Electronica Center. With the current exhibition, FIFTITU%, together with the Kunsthalle, is also opening a new space for current feminist discourse.
