Hailing from Argentina, Chocolate Remix is an Aesbian reggaeton performer, or reggaetonera. In March 2017, she released her first album Satira (Satire), which she has been performing intensively on tour throughout Europe ever since. Choco also visited Linz at the beginning of July as part of this tour. We invited her to talk about her music, her new album, her stage performances and her divas for our Divasplitter column.

This interview can be heard in English.

The brochure "Gender_raus!", jointly published by the Gunda Werner Institute at the Heinrich Böll Foundation and the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, presents 12 corrections to anti-feminism and gender criticism. Attacks against feminism, gender equality policy, sexual self-determination and gender studies have increased significantly in recent times.

Franziska Schutzbach is one of the authors who worked on the brochure. We hear her in an interview.

We have just taken this contribution from the daily newsroom of Radio Corax in Leipzig.

"5-2 Minutes"- feminist news
Hundreds of women recently demonstrated against violence in Istanbul, Turkey. The main focus was on attacks on women* because of their clothing. The march was held under the slogan "Don't interfere with my style of dress" and the women chanted "We will neither obey nor be silent". Some members of the LGBT community were also among the demonstrators after the planned Pride Parade in Istanbul was banned at the end of June.

"Black Women's Equal Pay Day", which fell on July 31 this year, marks the day of the year by which black women in the USA would have to work extra hours to reach the average earnings of a white man in the previous year. That's almost eight extra months. Black women* have one of the highest labor force participation rates among women in the U.S. and are paid less, no matter how highly educated they are.
